Thaitsuki Nihonto Kumori Japanese Katana

The Kumori Japanese Katana (KTN4) is specially handmade and forged in the Yamato Nihonto tradition, which is considered to be the oldest tradition in Japanese sword making. This forging method and premium quality, high carbon Japanese steel makes for an extremely sharp, durable and flexible blade with a bo-hi (groove). The Kumori Katana features a genuine same' tsuka, Japanese golden brown silk Tsuka Ito and 95% silver hand made Koshirae. The male and female Dragon Menuki, Dragon set Fuchi and Kashira (sword mounting/fittings) are all handmade with 95% silver. The oxidization process on the Menuki will create an antique look. The Fuchi and Kashira are silver with an antique finish. The Tsuba is hand made in the traditional style out of brass and includes Dragon engraving. This sword has a two layer Seppa; the upper layer is brass and lower is silver. The Habaki is also two layers and has a floral mitsu hana engraved on it. The Full Bo-Hi runs straight under the Habaki. The Shinto Dome is 95% silver. The traditional tsuka is black genuine ray skin and is double pegged. The Kumori Katana has a medium Kissaki and Yokote. The blade is polished and razor sharp.

The Kumori Katana is forged using the Japanese Nihonto method and features a bo-hi and Japanese golden brown silk tsuka ito. The Kumori Japanese Katana can be completely disassembled for full maintenance. This is a Fully Functional Japanese Katana, NOT a replica.
